End of Week 1

Hello
So we have been in Honiara for 1 week now, it is still very hot!
On Thursday we had lots of fun cultivating an acre...with 2x4s! It was hard work but we had good fun. We had to flatten some land as there is going to be a youth conference at the church and about 1000 youths from all over the solomons are expected to be camping. We went back a few days later and helped again - this time moving garden rubbish from one pile to another - thats the island way! We were rewarded at the end though one of the guys climbed up a coconut tree and cut us down about 20 coconuts - mmmmmmm! We all love them, we have at least one each a day.
We were at a youth group one night and just talked with them, i think they were a bit surprised to see white people - as are most people when we walk by - they just stare!
We played volleyball one whole afternoon with youth from another church, we gave them a good run for their money but i think over all they were better than us.
We attended church on sunday, it was very lively as expected and long.
We were told about solomons time before we arrived, which is when they say they will be somewhere at say 9am dont expect them until at least after 10 - we have experienced this first hand now its really funny.
Now the origional plan was we were leaving by the "fast" boat tomorrow (Wednesday) But both the "fast" boat and the slow boat have broken down so we have to find another way to Western Provence. Currently we have been looking at flights but the avalibility is not suitable for our origional plans. We are excited to see how God will work this out as he will be glorified, your prayer are appreciated.
I mentioned Laura in the last blog, things have worked out there, she was able to get an emergency passport and will be joining us on Thursday.
Thats about all at the moment, will try and update before we leave.
God Is Great.
Thank you too mas (thank you in Pidgon), Solomons 1.
